The Samsung CLX-3160FN is a large, all-in-one colour laser printer for small offices or work groups. The types of machines have previously been out of reach for these user until now, Samsung have redesigned the MFP laser and created an affordable device with reasonable running costs. Samsung CLX-3160 toner cartridges consists for separate Samsung toner cartridges each of which print 1,000 pages with exception of the black which prints 2,000 pages and gives the CLX-3160FN an average cost per page of 2p for black and 10p for colour printing. Compatible printer cartridges are also available for the Samsung CLX-3160FN and cost on average 50% less than the genuine Samsung products. The CLX-3160FN features full scanning and copying facilities which perform well, but are a little limited. The automatic document feeder that holds up to 50 sheets of paper and is very useful for copying multi documents, both black and colour scanning quality is good and the speed is also remarkably quick. The paper tray for the printer only only 150 sheets which is a bit limited and means refilling the paper tray a regular chore. The tray and paper feed can be adjusted to hold various size of paper from letter up to a maximum size of A4. The quality of print produced by the CLX-3160FN is very good, the black prints appear sharp and with good contrast, colour prints have equally good quality although printing photos will not produce as good results as you get from an inkjet printer. The Samsung CLX-3160FN is in general a great multi-function printer and represents excellent value for money with few compromises.
